    Too much added flavor

Whatever natural flavors have been added (and it would be nice to know what they are), they completely overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. The aftertaste is astringent and oily, and doesn't taste like the usual bergamot.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Julian. Taste is deeply personal, and we understand that this tea may not be a fit for every palate.

We’d like to share that any flavoring used in this blend are 100% natural and organic compliant.

This means they are allowed for use in certified organic foods and are subject to a far more restrictive set of regulations than other natural flavors. They cannot contain a long list of ingredients, including synthetic solvents, carriers, emulsifiers, or artificial preservatives. They must use non-petroleum-based solvents, cannot be irradiated, and cannot use flavor extracts derived from genetically engineered crops.

While we’re unable to disclose specific flavoring components beyond bergamot, due to proprietary sourcing, bergamot is a natural agricultural product and its flavor is super sensitive to growing conditions and often changes slightly harvest to harvest.

Our teas are carefully crafted to highlight the character of the leaves, with flavoring used only to complement the tea. Brewing elements such as water quality, temperature, steep time, and even the cup used can influence how a tea tastes. We’re always happy to share brewing guidance to help customers get the most from their cup.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share feedback and value hearing a range of experiences from our tea community.

    My favorite morning tea!

I tried a few samples and found my favorite: Earl Grey Cream, a lovely aromatic black tea. I’ve been a regular customer for almost a year, and I’ve never been disappointed.

Using loose tea is not a complicated procedure. I put fresh water in my electric kettle and bring it to a boil, while my cat is asking for his breakfast. I like to use the “In Cup” style infusers. They are easy to use and easy to clean. It’s all very simple, and the way I like to start my day.
